Accreditation is a system, which officially recognizes educational training organizations and programmes associated with those organizations for having attained a level of performance, integrity and quality.

The Standard of Accreditation stipulates the criteria against which the organization will be measured to determine if it has the capacity to offer training and assessment services. These include:

  1. Quality Assurance and Control
  2. Staff Resource
  3. Physical Resources
  4. Client Services and Activities
  5. Training
  6. Assessment
  7. Evaluation
  8. Risk Management

An Accredited Training Organization (ATO) status is granted for a period of four (4) years after which time the organization must seek re-affirmation of its status.

Any formal public or private training organization offering training and assessment or assessment services only are eligible to apply. The organization should be registered with the Ministry of Education and the Registrar of Companies.
